A strategy must be developed for making links with to other sites. Links are important for two reasons.
a) They channel traffic to the site.
b) Search engines count the number of links, and the traffic to those links, as part of the rating system to determine a sites importance.
Our experience shows that the "link engines" and automatic free link programs are not counted by search engines and can be considered as a waste of a time and energy.
Our method is to use our own automated processes to search for potential link sites. Having specified the potential sites we develop specific and compelling reasons for web masters to add links to your site.
It gets results.
